veils of absence light installation: 65 fabric suspensions, stone, slide and video projection
A circular walk-through structure made of fabric suspensions, centred on the performative, ritualistic and transformative use of space through light, stone and human interaction. Research was based on the transposition of distant sites and time zones through a study of sacred spaces (linking the archaeologies of pre-text Mnajdra, Malta to the Gothic pilgrimage sites of Canterbury, England). Projections onto stone; projections set at different angles penetrating walls of translucent fabric.
